Transfer RNA coding elements are organized in up to eleven loci in Staphylococcus aureus. Staphylococci encode up to five seryl-tRNA sequences. This tRNA-SerUGA1 is an isolated tRNA ; other tRNA-Ser can be found elsewhere in Locus III (tRNA-SerGCU), in Locus IV (tRNA-SerGGA), and in Locus VII (tRNA-SerUGA3 and tRNA-SerUGA2).
