Modifications: [1] - (please note: this reference was unable to determine pseudouridine modifications)
• uridine(17) → dihydrouridine(17)
• uridine(20a) → dihydrouridine(20a)
• uridine(20b) → dihydrouridine(20b)
• uridine(34) → 5-methoxyuridine(34)
• guanosine(37) → 1-methylguanosine(37)
• uridine(54) → thymidine(54)
Transfer RNA coding elements are organized in up to eleven loci in Staphylococcus aureus. Staphylococci encode up to five leucyl-tRNA sequences. This tRNA-LeuUAG is from Locus V and is the only tRNA-Leu sequence with the anticodon UAG; other tRNA-Leu can be found elsewhere in Locus V (tRNA-LeuCAA and tRNA-LeuUAA2), in Locus VI (tRNA-LeuGAG) and in Locus II (tRNA-LysUAA1). Please note that modifications on tRNA-LeuGAG have not been determined.
