trnaQ : tRNA-GlnUUG
Modifications: [1]
• None of the glutaminyl-tRNAs were identified in the modified nucleobase analysis in the above cited reference
Transfer RNA coding elements are organized in up to eleven loci in Staphylococcus aureus. Staphylococci encode up to two glutaminyl-tRNA sequences, all of which share the same UUG anticodon. This tRNA-GlnUUG1 is from Locus V; the other tRNA-Gln can be found elsewhere in Locus VII (tRNA-GlnUUG2) and as an isolated tRNA (tRNA-GlnUUG3). Please note that some additional modifications, such as pseudouridines (Ψ) are almost certainly present but not captured in the above cited reference.
