dtd : D-tyrosyl-tRNA(Tyr) deacylase [1]

Aminoacyl tRNA synthetases can occasionally mistakenly activate and tether D-amino acids to their cognate tRNAs where they can corrupt protein synthesis. Although originally described for its tRNA(Tyr) proofreading capacity, dtd can remove D-amino acids from several tRNAs and may play a role in removing mischarged glycyl-tRNA(Ala).
