recQ (recQ1) : replication fork restart ATP-dependent DNA helicase [1]
DNA replication forks can occasionally stall or collapse mid-replication. Restoration of active DNA replication requires unwinding of a new replication bubble large enough for binding of replicative polymerase proteins. RecQ recognizes collapsed replication forks and remodels surrounding DNA to generate a new replication bubble.
